David, a PhD student at UCL who has lived with fibromyalgia (FM) for over fifteen years, is currently recruiting for their study which aims to hear the experiences of people with FM seeking healthcare in the NHS.
Specifically, given that the majority of research on FM patients succeeds in getting the voices of white women heard, David is hoping to reach participants that are not cisgender white women (where cisgender means your gender identity corresponds to your sex assigned at birth – aka not transgender).
So; if you have FM, are over 18, and are not a cis white woman, David would love to get your perspective of living with FM and how you are treated by the medical system.
The study is made up of a web survey that should take no more than 25 minutes to complete, and the option to leave your contact details for a follow-up interview. Click here for the survey portion: https://redcap.idhs.ucl.ac.uk/surveys/?s=H9NA8W8JMT79L7WJ
If you would prefer to only do an interview – or if you have any questions – please email David at: david.tennison@ucl.ac.uk
