A Heartfelt Thank You: Charles Booth Centre Coffee Morning Raises £211.50 for Fibromyalgia Friends Together
We are absolutely delighted to share the wonderful news that a recent coffee morning held at the Charles Booth Centre in Thringstone has raised an incredible £211.50 for Fibromyalgia Friends Together, every penny of which will go directly towards supporting our charity's vital work.
The funds were generously raised through cake sales, coffee, and a raffle, with the warm hospitality of the community centre at the heart of it all. To everyone who came along, bought a slice of cake, sipped a cuppa, or tried their luck on the raffle — thank you. Your support means the world to us and to the people we help every day.
A special thank you to the volunteers
We want to take a moment to recognise the truly remarkable people who make these coffee mornings possible. The volunteers who run the coffee morning events at Charles Booth Community Centre give their time, energy, and commitment freely — week after week — to raise money for charities like ours. They bake, brew, set up, serve, and clear away, all without expectation of anything in return.
It is thanks to their kindness, dedication, and generosity of spirit that small charities like Fibromyalgia Friends Together can continue to offer support, friendship, and understanding to those living with fibromyalgia. A particularly big thanks to Trevor and Pat who run the Fibromyalgia Friends Together events and are part of the coffee fundraiser community at the Charles Booth Centre. They help raise thousands of pounds each year to support a wide range of charities.
The power of community
Events like this one are a powerful reminder of what community connection can achieve. In a world that can sometimes feel hurried and disconnected, a simple coffee morning brings people together, over a cup of tea, a friendly chat, and a shared sense of purpose. The result is so much more than money raised. It is awareness shared, friendships formed, and a community standing shoulder to shoulder in support of one another.
To the team at Charles Booth House who let us have the room for free, and to every kind soul who contributed in any way: thank you. Your generosity will make a real and lasting difference.
