October Monthly Meeting
The next monthly meeting on 19th October. We have a guest speaker coming along who is a community recovery worker for Leicestershire County Council. Sonia Lear helps groups and individuals in achieving their goals and aspirations to enable them to live at their best. The community recovery worker will be supported by a colleague from the company Lightbulb. Lightbulb provides aids and useful gadgets to improve safety and to gain more independence for people around the house.
**The Fibromyalgia Friends Together Annual Christmas Lunch will of course take place during early December… as soon as we have any details we will update you!**
Summer Events Update
A big thank you to all who came to our summer events during 2023. An enjoyable day was had by all in June 2023 during our day at Shuttleworth Manor. A lovely time to chat with friends and enjoy lots of tasty food. For our regular monthly meeting Canine Partners came to visit and show us their well trained dogs. Our August coffee morning, as well as our Fibromyalgia awareness stall at both Ibstock Country Fair and Shepshed County Fair raised over three hundred pounds as well as more awareness about Fibromyalgia and the issues surrounding it. An extra special thank you goes to Pat and Trevor Jordan for their extra efforts towards this cause.
